The is from the parents perspective...

First time meeting the coach - whether it's in person, in a zoom, on a call, etc.

How do you address them without bucking protocol and/or disrespecting them?

For example:

The coach's name is: Maury Sickels

When you address him by name, do you say...

"Maury"

"Coach Sickels"

"Mr. Sickels"

Something else?

Coaches, doctors, dentists, nurses, cops, professors, etc. are among my favorite people.

All coaches are called coach, all doctors are called doctor, all nurses are called nurse, etc.

No need to overthink it, and no need to worry about remembering everyone's name.  Sir and Ma'am come in handy too.
