Lucroy is a very nice, polite and talented young man. And I might add has caught my son throughout
both their three year minor league careers. (And with talk and dreams of advancement this spring training.)

However, make note, the Brewers C Angel Salome, is NOT being thrown under the bus, and hit nearly .286 a AAA Nashville in 2009!

I guess Santana made V-Mart expendable.

The beer makers have money invested in Salome and Lucroy, nothing invested in Kottaras...yet.

Bear, you forgot to mention Lucroy is clean. Why does Melvin talk up Lucroy and not Salome? Why did Salome's BA drop 84 points from 2008? Could it have something to do with his 50 game suspension for juicing?

Why is Lucroy considered the better defensive player? He is certainly the cleaner player. Is catching ability still valued in major league baseball?

Don't get me wrong. Salome is a nice player for 5'7" (listed)..... Smile

Kottaras is a good knuckleball catcher (caught Wakefield well), if you need one.

Seven months later, Lucroy is the no.1 Brewers catcher. just sayin.

Brewers: Lucroy takes over as No. 1 catcher

Salome has taken a personal leave of absence and emerged in single A trying convert himself into an OF.

Salome requests to be an OF
