For those of you that have sons at Marshall ot might know the answer, what airports are closest to Marshall?or near Marshall that are bigger than tri-state airport of Charleston.

Probably Cincinnati's airport. Someone from Kentucky or Ohio please correct me if I am wrong.
Well, I'm pretty sure Huntington has an airport. I mean, it's a small town, but .....
If you're looking for a cheap flight by booking into someone's major hub that's within reasonable driving distance, Pittsburgh might be as close as you can get. You might also check into Lexington, KY though.

Lexington is about 2 hr by car. Charleston is about 1 hr.

There are many flights are into Charleston, W.Va., then you drive - about an hour to Huntington, as I recall.
