the kid asked for advice, he probably didn't even know you were kidding about the league going downhill, just no point in saying stuff like that.

The Alaskan league is great if you can get in there and don't mind being that far away from your family all summer. Alot of top players from around the country play there and it's a great climate, good weather, and the town embraces the league.
Actually I feel as if the nomination of Sarah Palin for VP on the Republican ticket was a big boon for Alaska --- and the Republicans. Just as Barack Obama is for the Democrats and Illinois. I didn't see bballdad1954's comment as a political jab but just a tongue in cheek humorous remark about the great state of Alaska ---- a state that up until just recently got very little publicity. The Alaska collegiate summer league is highly respected. If I were a college athlete, Alaska would be my first choice --- even before the Cape. The Midnight Sun Classic is something else!

For once I agree with Nails (and that doesn't mean either of us are correct). If it was just a joke, maybe you would have said a little something about the ACBL. However you didn't. I think we've all learned our lesson about making this site a political forum, it gets ugly. So if you don't talk about your politics, I won't talk about you talking about your politics. He.. he..

I fixed my post, my bad.

kbsbll30, could you tell me what it was like going from JUCO to D1? My son is seriously considering a JUCO. He can get good grades for two years while getting pre requisites out of the way. It is less money. He would be playing with and against top players. But, I don't know how easy it is to transfer credits and get in to a program if wants to continue to play.

How was the experience for you?
