So far the rain has effectd the playoff schedule.
most teams were raind out with Post 206 and Post 137 suspendng their game in top of 7th. It was resumed Monday night when 137 mustered enough offense to win the game.

Interesting to note how that game was handled. With VHSL the game would not have been resumed and 206 would have won.

I was thinking since ALB plays American League rules it coold have been considred a complete game after the 5th....... they must have some special provisions in their rule book?

After first round 186, 361, 125, and 137 remained in winners bracket.

137 knocked 125 into the losers bracket and West End 361/Midlothian 186 were rained out. 137 will enjoy a night off as the other two battle over at JR Tucker.

Thursday action will resume at Johnny Oates field for 137.

In the losers bracket both 284B and 284P's seasons ended last night with Powhatan 201 and Atlee 175 prevailing to stay alive in the losers bracket. I believe 201 will face 125 tonight and 175 will await the 186/361 outcome.

Interesting to note here that District 2's Greenbriar team has finsihed the District and will rest until State Tournament next Tuesday in Danville. Looks like District 11 representative will not be determined until Sunday, two days before they jump on the Danville Train like Virgil Caine did.

This tournament now becomes a battle of the number 3,4, 5,.... pitches from these teams- 137 finished lat nights game with an inning from its #3 pitcher as they were able to end it after 7 through slaughter rule.

Come Saturday should see some exciting baseball- teams in the final will have to thnik about pserving pitchers for Tuesday!

If this thing comes down to who can swing the bat bat 137 may be tough to beat as they seem to have some tough outs in their line up!
