For Maryville: Kyle Hodges was the bright spot. He's a human vacuum! Lots of chances, no errors that I remember. Jason Lambert looked good at first, made some good plays. I didn't really know the pitchers. I think David Parker pitched in the third slot. If so, he looked good.

Alcoa: Pitching looked good. Defense was somewhat lacking, but Alcoa had only been on the field two times this spring. (I know, excuses, excuses). Wink Benny Fuller and Joey McCown looked good on the mound. Brad Coulter looked good defensively and offensively.

There was a FEMALE calling behind the plate. ALL the pitchers (Alcoa and Maryville included) were very frustrated. I don't think she had ever seen a curveball. It would have been a very good scrimmage if all the players knew what to swing at. It was very frustrating for hitters AND pitchers. I sure hope she is not a TSSAA umpire. If so, there is going to be a lot of LONG games for some teams.

These moments will never be repeated, but always cherished. Bizazz
