I agree with cbg. Stay in the eastern sector of Memphis. (Germantown Collierville area) If it were me I would look for something on Germantown road just south of I-40. Bartlett (NE) is OK too. Avoid the SW and the NW portion of Memphis. While the All American Tournament is hosted by the Memphis Tigers (I think) you might want to drop by Dulins Sports Complex (just off Germantown road on Fisher Steel Road and check out their baseball state of the art 1st Tennessee fields and complex). I highly recommend a trip to the heart of downtown Memphis to view the sights and sounds (famous for the blues and Bar-B-Q) if possibly take in a Memphis Redbirds game (AAA of the St Louis Cardinals) which has their stadium in the heart of downtown. The Mississippi River slowly winds its way past Memphis creating a beautiful riverfront area and "Mud Island", a unique area that along with other attraction depicts the life and path of old man river. Of course the paddle boat river boat rides are always a good way to let your mind drift off and savor a little of the old south. Y'all enjoy your stay.

PS If anyone asks how you’re doing just answer “fair to middlin” (a common phrase that originated in the south when cotton was king)
