Well we've pretty much reached all-star season. LL can announce their teams in a couple days.
Anybody got a team that has a shot to go quite a ways? Let's hear your prediction now. Last year I predicted that one of our area's teams would go to the LLWS and got it right. Let's see who has a crystal ball this year.
The 12u team from the LL we came out of is fairly decent and has a pretty good shot at winning the district and even the section. I don't think they have the pitching depth to win the division.
The 14u team from our Pony League is pretty decent but I don't think they have the pitching depth to go all the way.
The 13yo A team from our Pony League is quite strong. They have two very strong pitchers and two pitchers who might or might not be good enough along with a couple other pitchers who could do OK for an inning or two here and there. Our B team is surprisingly good with a couple pitchers who are as good or better than the 3,4 pitchers on the A team but the overall talent level isn't there to compete with solid A teams.
I think our Pony 13 A team has a shot at going all the way, but they aren't a lock the way the Conejo team was last year in LL. Pitchers can't dominate at 54' the way they can at 46' so more teams have a chance to win.
I haven't seen them but I understand the Bronco team from our Pony league is quite strong as the 11yo nearly won the Bronco district last year.
