Who from the area made the all state team and who on your team is on it?

Taking nothing away from Coach Howell (Osbourn), but can someone please explain to me how a coach leads his team to the state championship title and does not come away with coach of the year? Talk all you want about how many seniors Jimmy Hunt had. He still had to get them ready day in and day out and make game decisions. What a joke.

Granted I am biase as a mom of a former Osbourn ball player but I would assume the reason that Keith received this honor from the other coaches in the state is due to the incredible season he had.
He too had to get a team ready day in and day out and make game decisions with a team that was made up of only 2 seniors (one was not a starter, neither were pitchers), 2 juniors and the rest freshman and sophomores. He took this very young team that was thought to be lucky if they won half their games this season and took them to the finals of the AAA championship where they played their hearts out for what 12 innings I believe it was. He had to throw a sophmore and a Junior in the final two games of the season. In regionals he had to throw a player who hadn't pitched in three years.
My hats off to Keith, Asst Coaches Lou Buzzi and Larry Crowder for what they were able to accomplish. Coach Hunt had a great season but did not face the obstacles that Howell did.
Congrats also to Tony Pasquariello for making the 2nd team.. A MUCH DESERVED award.

Wiley Lee I believe won Coach of the Year when Great Bridge won in 2003. If I remember correctly his lineup was also stacked.......
If I recall correctly Coach Hunt was not selected as his districts coach of the year and as such cannot be elected as regional coach of the year. If you aren't regional coach of the year you cannot be state coach of the year.

I believe Scott Stubbe from FC was the coach of the year from the beach--FC won the beach district championship and the regional championship---so he deserved that honor (following in Norbie's shoes)
