Now that Pandoras box of personal steroid use has been opened and the thought of asterisks next to the records of players has been discussed what about TEAM accomplishments?
If a player(s) from a team that won a pennant is uncovered, what does that do to the accomplishments of the team. Many will say it is an individual player issue, I ask, without the numbers that the "juiced" player put up would the team have won what they did? I don't care if its a guy hitting .290, a guy with 20 HR's, or a guy with a 13-13 record. Where would that team have been if he had been on the straight and narrow? If you look back on a season, it is the accumulation of individual events that determines an outcome. A real tough call but I say if you "call out" the player you "call out" his team.
