I hadn't seen this posted yet and wasn't sure if anyone was aware, but Allen is now looking for a new head baseball coach after Coach Pool resigned last week.

I don't know any of the specifics behind his resignation. I'm sure they'll find somebody who's more than capable of continuing the successful program Allen's had going.
I heard it was a family move to North Dakota --- maybe a get-out-of-the-rat-race thing? 
If true, that's about as far out of the rat race as you can get.
Might this be where FD, ends up, hmmmmmm.

Oh, I know a dad that can coach. He coached from the stands all season. He knows everything about coaching! But, if he becomes the head coach, then him and his wife won't have anyone to play those political games with, and that might make him sad.

Hughes is not retiring from Southlake. Don't know how this got started but I talked to him Monday and he is not going anywhere.

Rumor has it that Assistant Coach Paul Coe will take over as the Allen Head Coach. This is a great hire for Allen as Coach Coe is a quality baseball guy and will take the Allen Program to another level.
