I haven't seen an AI thread started yet so here goes.

I've only watched 1.5 episodes so far but I'm thinking these two things:

1. Are you uncomfortable with the way Steven Tyler is looking at some of these young girls?

2. More seriously, there was a thread where I mentioned I'm worried about the day my son's baseball career ends. Is he mentally ready for that date?

It's unsettling to hear these very young people claim that this is "their entire life" and they don't know what they'd do if they didn't make it.

Seems a little extreme, doesn't it?

It's really sad to see young kids single thread their lives at such a young age...especially the ones that don't have that kind of talent. Where are their trusted advisors in life? Where are their parents? Where is their sense? Just when you think all hope is lost for the future, they end the Wisconsin show with a young man of extremely high talent and character. He is a special young man.

In total, I think the talent level this year is higher than past years....especially last year.
We are laughing a lot this year-the judges are pretty funny. Steven Tyler comes up with the weirdest things-he's pretty clever. I like the new judges but wish they wouldn't waste so much time on the crazies. Steven also seems compassionate about the contestants feelings and isn't as mean as Simon was.
