I kinda liked him!

I really liked him too. But he just seemed so clueless when he would be asked a question. he really blew it last night forgetting the words. i dont think he really seemed to care to go home tonight.He knew it was coming. the two Davids will be left after next week.whats everyones consensus on the winner?

Jason Castro ... voted off? He just got a head start on his recording contract. Personally I don't care if he forgot the words. He has a beautiful voice and very unique looks. My guess is that he did not seem too crushed about being done because he knows he already has offers.

Oh my goodness, David Archuleta singing "Love Me Tender". This kid! A while back he sang the John Lennon song "Imagine" which was so risky because no one will ever sing it as well as Lennon, but it was beautiful. Now he chooses a song from another one of my favorite musicians, Elvis Presley, and puts his own style on it, and it's gorgeous and touching. What talent at such a young age!

I actually really enjoyed Jason as well... it just became more and more apparent that he himself was totally surprised every week when they didn't vote him off. He'll be fine - he's got a unique style, gorgeous blue eyes and a really sweet way about him. He just needs to try to, well, focus a little bit!

Somebody said he had a good voice? This is a vocal competition andthe kid sounds like a bad case of Jiminy Cricket. I knew he was still there because the 11 yr old vote was really strong for his girly looks.

Word on the street is that Steinbrenner actually signed the kid to a contract thinking he was related to Manny only to find out later that David Archuleta was the one they should have signed. Archuletta has turned out to be the love child of Clemens and Mindy Mcready.

I guess I like the vulnerability, even the mistakes. My 19-yr-old son is a musician and very smart, but on stage he usually sounds like a d o r k if he tries to talk with the audience between songs. I enjoy young musicians taking chances and not worrying about mistakes! I enjoy a sincere sound that might be a little unpolished. Honestly, I think Jason Castro will make some money singing on stage.
