I know, I know what this thread is about. But I need someone to pinch me. While in California I heard that the Bulls signed Ben Wallace. Very smart move, maybe a great move. But did I just read that they also found someone dumb enough to take Tyson Chandler and his $60 million contract? Could that person only be either Isiah Thomas or MJ or the New Orleans Hornets? Miracles evidently do happen.

Facts are facts...
The mutts are 6-9 VS the AL.
The season is far from over - and the Mets have Shamsky, Boswell, Weis, Seaver and Koosman coming back.
My advice to you - get a satellite dish so you can watch my babies winning the World Series this year.
White Stockings will gag.
LOL
I've been watching them choke thier nads off VS the AL.
Tom, Jerry and Al were solid Whte Sox players. Seaver often spoke of his disdain for everything NY.

Two things here:
Mets have as many players on the All Star team as the Hole in the Sox have
The Mets have the brightest up and coming manager in the majors---the White have a comet who is "flaming" out rapidly--his act gets tiring very rapidly

Interesting comments from someone who doesn't know anything about the Chicago White Sox and how their fans LOVE THEM and Ozzie. He's one of our own.
Just like "beantown" embraced the Bosox when they won...only more civility in Chicago.
White Sox in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009...All with Ozzie at the helm.
All we need is a journeyman centerfielder.

You've been reading way too many NY newspapers; and, watching too much ESPN. There is life outside of New York.

rosy - hope your enjoying the camp/vacation. With the Cubs flat-lining & the Sux on a roll it's good to talk some hoops. Big-time moves by Paxson. Wallace signing huge & getting rid of Tyson puts an end to Krause era.
Bulls still light on scoring but should be much better defensively & on the glass. PJ Brown still solid player & the young kid that came with him may be a sleeper.
Best news is their expiring contracts after 07. 3-4 mil left this summer under cap & well under cap next summer with possible lottery pick (from Knicks) as a result of the 37th stupid move Isiah Thomas has made in a few short years with NY.

Been...you tell em!
TR obviously has NO answer for the mutts/NL FUTILITY VS the AL.
rosy...whats up in flakeland? Visiting the boyhood home of John Garland? Another camp after Stanford?
Hope your having a great time and Jordan is on his game.

Soxnole,
It might be "flakeland" to you, to me it was just beautiful. The Stanford Camp is first rate all the way. It is first and foremost, an instructional camp. The boys are working hard all day and into the night. Great coaches working on all facets of the game. The 2 infield coaches, from Centennary and Stanford, were awesome. Jordan has never had instruction like this that focuses on fundamentals. Hitting stations, speed and agility training, etc. Great representation by many top schools with most of the players from California. Seeing him play well on Sunken Diamond field was thrilling.
One more camp later this summer at Lehigh University. Besides that, just a whole lot of baseball with Top Tier continuing well into the fall. All good stuff.
Flakeland????

"fresh flakes"..."California has the most of em"
Frank Zappa...1972.
After many visit's to California I came to agree with his point...that people, in general are just a little "out there" in the golden state....in a nice way, as opposed to rough, gruff NY & NJ. Anyway, I alway's figured Frank ought to know who's flaky.
I have never heard a discouraging word about the Stanford camp, glad you and Jordan are having a good time.
My best advice??...take Jordan to the "Tadich Grill" on California street in downtown San Francisco. My favorite restaurant...PERIOD!.
Get the "Chippino"..thier version of Bouillabaise....absolutely sensational...as is EVERYTHING on the menu. No reservation needed if you get there before 6PM.
Good Luck!
