Congrats to all four teams. Special congrats to Coaches Dotolo, Robinson and Hennessy for coaching Post 60 to another 1st Place showing in the regular season despite losing 3 aces from last year's team. They were able to get the most out of some good but unheralded pitchers and get their guys to play solid defense.

Midlo Dad,

Couple of early errors by 137 cost them. Have to give 206 their due though as they hit the ball well in the first few innings and took advantage of the openings given them. 137's bats went a little cold after the first three innings. Kind of unusual for a team that mashes from top to bottom of lineup.

Game resumes tonight at 7, playing the last three innings. Should be interesting to see who comes out to pitch for both teams.
Tuesday's District 2 Results:
280 Chesapeake - 5
60 Norfolk - 15

Championship Game:
280 Greenbrier - 8
60 Norfolk - 2

Dean Ali pitched 7 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 run, and striking out 7 to earn the win. James Bedi tossed the final 2 innings to hold the victory.

280 Greenbrier wins District 2 and advances to State Torunament in Danville, VA starting Tuesday July 27th.

Tournament MVP ("Coaches Award") went to Josh Carter who finished the tournament 6-for-8 (he reached base 12 of 14 Plate Appearances) with 4 doubles, 6 runs, 3 RBI, 4 BBs, 2 HBP, and 3 SBs in 3 games.

Other big contributors (in 3 gms):
