Just received an email stating that they saw my son's profile on a recruiting web site and was invited to attend. They asked me to reply to the email and they would send more information. Anyone have any experience with America's Team?

BTW. Kent Meador from Monterey High School in Lubbock is the coach.

Never heard of it. After glancing at the link, it looks like an expensive summer vacation abroad with a smattering of baseball. I would respond asking for references from current and former players (and families) that you can speak directly to.

My son was invited to tryout for a similar type program in three sports. The primary qualification was my ability to write the check. I did the math and decided our family of four could take the same European vacation without baseball.

The guys name is Brigham Joy? Seriously? I know its not exact, but still, why?

My son got invited to something like this, but went to the bottom to see the price tag and deleted the email. I think he was invited to South America.
