Yes indeed..today would be a good day for a special movie I have on Satchel Page seeing this is the last day of the month of Feb., and Black History month, why not?
It is easy to see that we still have a strong bias against black players in baseball.
I not only think it's wrong, I know it's wrong, and certain people in very high places in MLB baseball are very aware of it too.
Before it's over with, you may even see your newly elected president stepping in and stopping this racial bias that still exists in baseball.

Back in Kansas City, a couple of guys maintain a dandy and purely local tradition.
In the very early morning of the home opener, they bring an expensive bottle of whiskey out to Satchel's grave and ceremonially pour three shots.
Next, the pair each drink a toast to Satch, before leaving the third full glass on top of his tombstone, just in case.

Just finished watching "The Natural" for the billionth time. Like it better everytime I watch it. Love the photography with the dim smoky atmosphere and then the bursting field lights and lightening. Skipped "Bang the Drum Slowly". Another favorite but makes me cry hysterically.
