Two years ago, I posted about my son going to a college camp of a school he'd really never considered for college(he was only a soph but had definite ideas about his future!) It was his first experience with college coaches, field, etc and he loved it-came home saying he knew where he wanted to go and didn't want to look anywhere else! Dad and I told him that's great but you will be looking at other places to compare and make sure-and what if they don't want you I asked here-what are the chances this will stick and he'll end up at this school? Over the last two years he's looked around alot and it's seemed his favorite was wherever he last was but he's always kept in touch with that first school.
Well, last week they made him a really good offer-have to admit it caught us off guard as we didn't expect an offer so soon!! There are a couple of schools talking to him that he still has interest in so he's not given an answer yet but I get the impression that first school is the frontrunner at this point-he's a little overwhelmed by this whole process as are his parents so we're trying to get him not to rush into anything. We'd love for him to go to this school-it's close to home!-but know that it needs to be his decision (with our guidance of course!)
Anyway, thanks for all the great advice I've gotten from this site over the last few years-it's definitely paying off for my son!
