Anderson Ignite BBCOR

I just bought one of them.. will let you know after my son hits some BP mid to late next week. Anderson is a good company that has dominated the fast pitch bat market for a long time. Its all my now college playing daughter would swing.

well we just got back from a bucket and a half of BP on the field. Felt like the bat had more pop than his old BESR compliant bat from last season. Makes a noticeable ping when hit and the finish on the bat seemed very durable. There is one thing that is undeniable and that is it "sounds" a helluva lot better than the composite BBCOR bats from last HS season.

bothsports, what type of besr bat did your son use in the past? I am interested by Anderson as it was my sons favorite bat when he played on the small field. Have not used them since. Is the bat more end loaded or balanced?

Got my son the Ignite off of Ebay ($72) brand new. Bat is end loaded, sons first time with BBCOR, but from what "bothsportsdad" reported I feel it was a steal. You can still get them for around $100 or less on Ebay.

he had a Combat BESR which you dont see a lot of but had gotten very good reviews before we bought it. I dont think the Ignite had an end loaded feel... more balanced. My daughter had one of the old 2004 red rocket tech end loaded sticks that were bringing 500 to 600 on ebay in the after market.. hottest bat I have ever seen. That bat was end loaded and I dont think it has the same feel. I hit a few with it myself.

My son had an Anderson techzilla in little league and hit several big flies with it including one from each side of the plate in a game... hes a switch hitter. It is one of my fondest baseball memories.
