My son has been contacted by 4 agent/advisors. Even thought he's signed his NLI, two of the advisors (from states far away) continue to call. My son has developed a comfortable relationship with both and they'll talk for about 30 minutes each time they call, usually every other week.
They act like they enjoy talking to my son, seem knowledgeable, haven't asked for anything or even inquired if he wants to consider the draft over college.
Is there any harm/benefit in continuing these relationships? I don't know if we'll ever need an agent and I know that's where they're headed. I guess its their dime, but is my son under any obligation to choose at this point? Can these guys really help my son? Is there anything we should watch out for? I've read the posts about not taking anything from them or signing anything, but this seems a little strange since the draft is 7 months away!
This is new territory for us! Anyone who's been there have advice?
