Krak,
I do believe that taller people have an advantage at some things... But I have a hard time believing they are actually SMARTER. Some of the smartest people ever have not been TALL!

PG, that was my first reaction to the piece as well. Einstein was not tall. Is Stephen Hawking tall? No. etc etc etc.
Frankly, I think it's a ludicrous assessment. In my own experience, the vast majority of really clever, interesting people I've known have not been particularly tall.

Krak,
I would be considered tall and can guarantee that intelligence is not one of my strenths. I've known many people much shorter who are far more intelligent.
I'm not talking about World Leaders here, by the way!

Sounds like a study that wasn't able to see the forest for the trees. Nutrition can have a significant effect on height in young kids. Nutrition can also have an effect on test performance.
Kids who are better fed tend to be taller and more able to perform on tests. That's what they really found with those tests. In the long run height and intelligence are not correlated.
For whatever reason people of Asian descent tend to do better on performance tests. They also tend to be shorter than the caucasion population. Based on that I'd have to say that shorter people are smarter.
Men are taller than women on average. Just tell your wife that being taller makes you smarter and you'll prove otherwise.

"....The findings were based primarily on two British studies ...."
I think the British should leave things like height studies alone and do some qualitative sorts of things on the nature of, say, teeth.

Based on these articles and the fact that I'm 6-3, I'm calling my chairman in the morning to get my compensation increased!!!
