Please extend your well wishes to a player injured in Jupiter yesterday morning. A former teammate of my son's was hit in the face with a pitch. He suffered a broken jaw, broken eye socket, a severe concussion and bleeding on the brain. From the text reports I was getting his life was in the balance for the first couple of hours after the incident.
As of last night he was stable and resting but many surgeries lay ahead to reconstruct his facial injuries. I was also told that the sight in his injured eye is still in doubt.
A tragic accident to a great kid and family.
