My son is flying in from Australia tomorrow, sure have missed him. He had a good season down under, his team made it to the championship game but fell short. Somehow he led the league in HR's and hit .330. Not the league the Perth Heat play in, but a respectable league none the less.

We will fish Friday, and as many additional days that his brief layover in Florida will allow. He heads back for his 3rd season at Trois-Rivieres, Quebec in the CanAm League. His team won the CanAm Cup this past season, so he finally gets a ring!

His mom and I will make it a point to see him there and also some easier trips to Jersey and NY, since they play there every other week or so.

I am looking forward to the opportunity to watch my son play the game of Baseball once again. For those who are beginning the journey always remember to "Enjoy the Ride"! Take the time to savor each moment you get to enjoy this with your son. Lay back and let the games unfold.

The Journey Continues!

Congratulations to your son on a great season! I am sure the experience in Australia had to be great. I  would like to hear more about the Canadian league he is playing in.

The CanAm League is fairly established and players are paid better then in many independent leagues. About the same dollar amount as when he played A Ball with the White Sox. There are Teams in Ottawa, Trois Rivieres, Quebec City, New York and New Jersey. Most players have had some affiliated experience. They also play teams in the American Association. Last season they played a team from Japan, this year they will play the Cuban National team that the Ray's beat up on in Cuba. Several players each season make there way back into affiliated ball through playing in the CanAm League.
