blue dog,I was thinking the same thing but when I slowed it down on my computer, all(maybe not all but it was definately loaded) his weight was on his front foot at contact. He was completely on his toe on the backside with what looked to be no weight but as soon as contact was made,he went back on the back foot.I doubt you can see it on the youtube video and that was the whole reason I was going frame by frame on my computer.
Little **** is just so quick it is hard to see what really is going on.
I will make it a point in the future to remind him to load the front foot but tonight was about trying to get the hips preloaded and tipping the bat a little.
He should be finishing 50% front foot and 50% back foot. If you work on his finish to still be looking at the tee when he finishes, he will get to the right position. He has tremendous batspeed for a young kid though.
The head was the FIRST thing I worked on off camera,I went through his swing in slow mo and held his head on the T the whole way but when we started, like I stated before he is learning new stuff and so as not to harp on what was wrong,I let him work on what was going right.
But in general,I like what his head is doing,on the T untill contact.
