Other than what is one their website --- Can anyone give me some information about these two schools? I know that CSU is a succesful D II program that's been to the D II natl. championship a few times and UNCG is an up and coming DI program that plays a real nice schedule, etc. And I don't need to know how far they are from the beach. Thanks.

I can offer the following about the UNCG program, after watching it from the outside for a couple of years.

1) Facility -- Very nice new ballpark (3 years old?)

2) Team -- UNCG has an assistant with strong connections in California. Their roster has a healthy sprinkling of Cali juco transfers on it. Something you do not normally see at a mid-major east coast DI program. UNCG also actively recruits Florida and the northeast, as well as in the home state of North Carolina.

Two years ago UNCG spent most of the season ranked in the Top 25. This past season injuries and players dismissed from the team for "violations of team rules" hurt the program and the record was not as good.

The head coach works hard during games. I have no experience with him as far as his relationship with players, etc.

The program is on solid ground and should continue to improve. The ballpark is a great recruiting tool, as well as playing a very strong schedule.

North Carolina is very well covered by scouts for the professional teams.

Columbus State -- sorry no experience there.
