Any insights into Golden State Collegiate Baseball League

Hey everyone. Quick question. Anyone have any familiarity with the Golden State Collegiate Baseball League? My son is a LHP that will graduate from high school in 2017 and set to play college ball at a good high academic D3 in the Midwest. He has been offered a contract with a team called Top Speed and/or the California Bees. Any insights into the league would be great. As a rising freshman next summer -- this is just the start of his summer wood bat journey and all about him facing some solid competition heading into college.

Looks like the league is a mix of JC, D3, and D2 players - mostly JC - with a few NAIA and D1 thrown in. I've heard of Top Speed before -- I think my kid played against them year before last, in fact. They won their league by a huge margin last season. The Bees were in the cellar.
