My son was at a baseball camp this week and Jacque Jones came by to speak to the kids. He was a very down to earth person who was very excited to join the CUBS. He was also saying how he wanted to get his average back up and how he overcame many obstacles to make it to the big leagues. What impressed me most about him was the fact that he came to the camp to show his support to a local High School team here in San Diego. A class person and I hope he helps the CUBS reach the World Series this year.

Jacque is somewhat of a slap hitter and he should be able to adjust to lefties. Duke is still basically a rook and Sheets and Perez are coming back from injury. Pettite isnt unhittable and who is Reyes? Al Reyes? If so, he might not even be in the rotation. Encarnacion will take over fine for Sanders, but he is not nearly as valuable as Jones is.
Not Al Reyes, Anthony Reyes, the stud.

Also a USC grad, Reyes looked very good in his debut in 2005 and will be the Cards #5 starter to start 2006, and will probably end as the #3.
Al Reyes is out for the year.

I agree Pettitte isn't unhittable as he's not a strikeout guy , but he's tough to get hits off of and is a great pitcher.

Ben Sheets is my pick for Cy Young in 2006. He's filthy and will dominate in 2006.

Oliver Perez is filthy as well, but a lot of question marks. If healthy and if he has his head on straight, Pittsburgh has a great ace.

And Duke is young but he did very well last year and probably will this year from what I saw last year.

And I disagree about Encarnacion being less valuable than Jones. They're both equally valuable to their teams, non more so than the other.
