Any news about 2012 Z-1000 bat?

Does anyone know anything about the Louisville Slugger 2012 Z-1000 bat? Son has been using a wooden bat this Fall and we have been holding off buying a new one until we found out more about the latest selection of these bats. He had been using the EXO Louisville Slugger bat over the past couple of years and has enjoyed the feel and sucess of that pre-BBCOR bat. I appreciate any opinions on the Z-1000.

Its a little pricier than some of the BBCORs. I've also wondered about it.

The Z-1000 is pretty much the BBCOR version of the BESR H-2 composite bat LS had on the market.
