I got a delievery dude here,
who just walked in through
the HSBBW back door
holding a double dozen bouquet
of fresh flowers with her name on it.

Note says something about Older Timers &
newbies....
all chipping in together
to help brighten her day,
after a tough one, yesterday.

To the funny farm. Where life is beautiful all the time and I'll be
happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they're
coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!!!

You thought it was a joke and so you laughed, you laughed when I had said
that losing you would make me flip my lid.. RIGHT???
I know you laughed, I heard you laugh, you laughed you laughed and
laughed and then you left, but now you know I'm utterly mad... And..

They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa,
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa.

To the happy home. With trees and flowers and chirping birds and basket
weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes and they're
coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!"

The happy home sounds pretty good to me, too!!!!

You are all so funny!

Poor CoachB25 doesn't know what we are talking about because he moderates the Illinois forum. The type of ... uhhh ... banter that we were all hoping to tone down is just a normal day at the (virtual) office for him!

Thanks everyone for pitching in with positive thoughts! Big Grin

Here's the broom for you Mom...

Western Fire & Rescue's fire fighting broom is designed for direct attack on flamers and the fires they start in forums both general and specific.

Brashy, trashy, bully, mean, loutish, and those prone to using subterfuge...no matter. Our broom will provide a clean sweep to any of your stubborn blazes and smoldering hold-overs.

It is also commonly used by owners and moderators in fire investigation activities to move and sift through debris of charred and weakened threads without disturbing evidence.

This ultra low tech fire fighting broom is also used for discipline on the fire line and for patrolling fire breaks. A well placed whack over the head or on the behind of a hot-head or smart alec will usually quell flames from spreading further.

This broom has been designed to exceed the rigorous demands of fire suppression work while being light enough to be easily carried to remote areas, like the far flung corners of the Canadian Forum and even occasionally across the dreaded International Dateline. It can be used by forum fire fighters under the harshest of conditions also, like those found routinely in the Illinois Forum and elsewhere.

Get more moderator power on the scene faster and more economically than back-of-the head hand slaps or outright fisticuffs.

The hardwood handle, stiff and stubborn textured Palmyra fiber, and metal cap are locked under tons of peer pressure to prevent loose opinions that are hard to handle and threads that can rage into uncontrollable infernos.

Bonded 'see nothing but red' finish, inside and out, resists chirping, flakiness, and lack of trusting.

Overall dimensions: 10" fibertrim, 54" of pure unleashed power from top to bottom. And always the last word...always!

Instructions for Fire Service-

The following procedures for the use of the fire fighting broom were developed and recommended by Chief Harold Goodney, State Fire Instructor for Herkimer County, New York.

Brash fires with short fuse and/or no sense of humor.
    1. May be attacked directly with fire brooms only.
    2. Approach the flanks of the brashy area, on both sides if possible, and while working towards the head or front of the fire, sweep the burning embers and tempers back into the burnt out area. They may not like this, but it is an extremely effective technique.

Brash fires on high horses, containing small minds, involving weasels, or large egos, those incognito, etc.
    1. It is usually best to "knock down" the flamer with water streams and screams with back-to back comments ahead of the attack with the brooms as described above. This is the reliable 'shout it down' approach.
    2. If the psychological terrain allows fire apparatus to approach close enough to utilize witty lines for the initial attack, the broom can still be used to follow up to check for any remaining embers or resentment.
    3. Beating at the flamers may cause flying embers and tempers resulting in spreading the fire. This must be avoided. All efforts must be well orchestrated and implemented.

Forced Fires
    1. Troublesome surface fires under tall tempers. The fire broom may be used as in brash and flaky fires.
    2. Fires involving under-the breath statements, resentment, heavy fuel loads, and even taller tempers. Use of the fire broom limited to patrolling fire breaks, etc. Call in the National Guard if necessary.

For extreme broom performance eliciting continuous "Ouch! That smarts!" responses soak fibers in hot water prior to use.

Enjoy!
