Recent I heard these things about quite a few players and many MLB scout and college coaches were questioning if many players have lost their mind.

1)Academically ineligible college player was asked by a MLB scout would he be willing to sign a free agent contract right after the draft. The player would not even say yes or no. Needless to say he went undrafted and is Academically ineligible again this year.

2) Not return signability cards , pysch tests, player information cards, schedules, medical reports from MLB scouts. Without that info you not being drafted.

3) Talk about how much money it gonna take to sign you to the media. MLB scouts read the papers too. Players rarely get drafted as high as they think they will.

4) When asked do you want to pro? Tell the MLB scout talk to my agent.Make sure you and your agent are on the same page as $$$$ to sign you. One agent told everyone I would take $500,000 to sign him, even though the player would have signed for $100,000. The player did not even know what the agent was telling MLB scouts about his intentions.

5)Think you gonna go in this round because a publication says you are. Last time I check no newpaper or scouting service drafted anyone. The best idea where you gonna go in the draft , how many mlb scouts are reguardly attending your games, are they area scouts, cross checkers, or scouting directors. How many teams are asking you to attend their pre draft workout?

6) Not go on college vists? If you dont go on a college visit when asked, the college coach thinks you not interested, so they move on to another player. If you might be interested in that college go on visit. The longer you wait the better chances they will find someone else.

7) Throw equipment, not run out balls, lobs the ball in infield/ outfield drills and the game.
You dont run out balls, MLB scouts and college coaches think you are lazy or you can't run. Neither one is good. Same goes for throws. One of the best eye opening things. A player hit a routine single to OUT Jeff Francoeur(Soph) Parkview HS and Jeff threw a bullet to 2nd on the fly even though the base runner made no effort to stretch it into a double.MLB scouts were there to watch another prospect, and took very close notice of Jeff Francoeur after that.

8) Over aggressive mom and dad. Nothing turns off MLB scouts and college coaches more than mom or dad coming up to them and telling them how great their kid is, a little pointer they are at the game they can see for themselves with their own eye balls.
One college coach saw a player they liked, was interested in him until the dad approached the college coach and came off way too strong. The college coach said, "Like the player no way I am dealing with that dad."
