1eighty- How did the Gibson kid from the White Sox throw yesterday vs. Rangers? His mom called me last night and told me how he did, but I'd like another opinion. He was the tall LHP from Oklahoma. Thanks.

I remember the kid from Oklahoma, i think he gave up a single a walk and then there was a Double play and fly out in one of the innings he threw and the other inning i am not sure, He did well I guess. Hard to remember it all I have seen 27 innings now, sorry.

Rangers win last game 4-2 over Milwaukee Brewers Blue (i think they were undefeated before this game) to end with one of the best records at Area Code Games. Congrats to Jay Eddings, Jimmy Durham, Andy Pratt and Randy Taylor (coaches) as well as the great kids from all around Texas for their play as well as the way the represented Texas.

The Brewers Blue were undefeated so the Rangers victory over them left them both with a tie as best record. Rangers win the head to head tie breaker and win the Area Code Championship, whatever that is. The coaches did a great job and the kids worked hard ... it paid off.
I've heard from several parents that were in Long Beach for the Area Code Games, they all enjoyed the experience and said there were around 300 scouts there! The Rangers, it appears, had the best offense ( power and average ) Jake Miller, Cody Robinson, and Randal Grichuk all hit monster shots. The Rangers also had power arms ( shelby miller 88-94 mph, Keifer Nuncio 86-92 mph, Jamison Tallion 88-94 mph, Matt Graham 88-93 mph ) those were the velocities reported from a friend who was sitting behind multiple professional scouts during the games.
