Did not want to high jack the Underclass Area Code Games thread, but I went to the Area Code Game site and see that they have "instructs" during the fall. Anyone ever done one of them, and if so thoughts?

havent heard of them Russ...is it a new thing? If its tied in to AC somehow and that's a goal it may be worth looking in to.
It looks like they started them last year.
EVENT INFORMATION
The Area Code Instructs give athletes an opportunity to develop the critical baseball skills of a draftable player, while learning from the same MLB scouts that manage and make the selections for each region’s Area Code Games Team.
Athletes will be taken through a format that educates them on what MLB scouts look for in an Area Code prospect and how to improve their baseball skills. The event will culminate in a testing and video capture period with the option to receive aninstructional assessment, video breakdown, and an individualized training plan that will be provided through an interactive digital platform.
Eligible athletes for the 2018 Area Code Baseball Instructs are players graduating in the classes of 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
*Recommended middle school athletes will also be considered.
The cost to attend is $150. Additionally, the cost of the video, video breakdown and written assessment package is available at a discounted rate of $150 if ordered before the camp.
I've been looking at it as well for my 2022's. Anyone who has thoughts, I'd be eager to hear them.
that actually doesnt look like a bad deal at all...another thing you should do is contact an area scout and get an invitation to the ac tryout.
Thanks for the info!
