Great start to the games as the Sox run their record to 2 and O, with a come from behind win over the A's (Southeast) today. Tomorrow against the Yankees (Northeast). Kids are having a great time out in Long Beach.

Again the midwest kids continue to impress the folks out in California. Taking the northeast area to task with a 7 to 3 convincing win over the Yankees. Mr. Tilson is literally "the man" out here. This team likes playing together and are committed to being the 2nd Midwest team to win the Area Codes outright. Good luck!

Hitting a ball out of Blair to right field is almost unheard of, Sale did it two years ago while he was also the first player to hit for the cycle in the history of the Area Code games. Charlie is putting on show out in Long Beach and he has everyone talking!

What is even better, he is a great kid.

Sox lose 8 to 5 to the Southwest(Reds) today. Still in first place, but not alone. Nice looking behind home plate and seeing the "Great One" mingle with the scouts and parents. Tomorrow against the Texas (Rangers) kids. It would be great for the kids to leave Long Beach 4 and 1.

The midwest kids leave Long Beach 4 and 1 with today's 9 to 1 win over the Rangers (Texas). First place secured and with the Brewers (White) losing today to the Reds, the White Sox win the Area Code games outright for only the 2nd time ever. The 2006 team was the other team to win it outright.
