I was not there so someone else can verify what I saying but from what I heard Jacob Partridge (LHP/OF/1B), a player on Bum, Jr.'s Summer team hit three home runs, one just foul, and one off the top of the fence. 8 for 10 overall or thereabouts. This kid is the finest 2009 grad in all of Washington and I've been saying it for awhile. PG needs to rank this kid very high.. he's an amazing athlete, has speed and size, obviously can hit and--oh yea--is a great LHP. He is verballed to Gonzaga University.

He is the #1 2009 player in Washington. A true 5-tool player.

Right now is just getting back into pitching due an overuse problem during his high school season but his dad says the docs have given him the green light to pitch again. Last year as a sophomore more he was sitting 86-87.

But he is also a talented outfielder. And he has the body of a future MLB star. During his Area Code Tryout, scouts were following him around in droves. I guarantee you he will be drafted high.

Thx Bum for the Partridge update, did Moon and Jordan from U-High attend? I talked to couple others who attended and they said that Brady Stieger of S. Kitsap, Chase Anslement of Meadowdale, Brian Wolfe of Snohomish, and Kyrel Hudson of Evergreen were getting alot of attention too. Sounds like an excellent group this year. Did any of the Richland kids attend, they certainly have some good 09 kids.
I wasn't there, so I don't know if Moon was invited. Jordan is a 2008 graduate committed to Lower Columbia CC. Neither is anywhere near the talent level of Jacob Partridge although Moon projects as a plus-contact hitter for Gonzaga University. Unfortunately, I do not see other pro prosects besides Partridge in the Spokane area.
