Norths bats were non-existent. Leadoff hitter had one hit, second hole had 2. 3-9 were 0-20. We went 3 up, 3 down in 5 out of the 7 innings.

4 errors hurt us. All 5 runs were unearned and scored after 2 outs in the 5th.

Game 2 tomorrow. Kindle Ladd on the mound for the Dawgs.

Sophomore Kindle Ladd threw a 4-hit shutout tonight for his 9th complete game and 3rd shutout this season. Kindle has come out of nowhere this year to win game after game for the Bulldogs. He's been amazing this year and a huge reason we are having the season we are having. Great job Bulldogs!!

Game 3 Saturday @ 1pm @ Rockwall-Heath HS.

Ryan Hughes on the mound for the Bulldogs. (3-0 w/ a 0.68ERA in the season)

HR-MN-Trey Sorrells (2-3 on the day w/ 3 RBI)

Ryan Hughes showed up huge today and kept the Eagles off balance all day, allowing only 1 unearned run throwing a complete game. He lowered his ERA on the season to a miniscule 0.56 in 37 innings. Trey Sorrells got us going in the bottom of the first with a 2 run home run to left and got another RBI single in the 5th. The defense played spectacular in games 2 and 3 turning 3 double-plays.

We play Highland Park next week in the Regional Quarter-Finals.

Way to go Bulldogs!
