It's very possible that Arizona's best incoming Freshman will be playing for Team Florida next spring. Ryan Klem formally of the Chandler Express could be playing travel ball in Florida from what I've heard. Let the fighting from all those rival Florida teams begin for the hard throwing right handed pitcher. Mery Christmas in October.

If he does, I hope he finds a better Team Florida than I saw in Fort Myers this past weekend.

Overall, pitching was exceptional, hitting was weak, base running terrible, situational play non-existent and defense was horrible.

I expected far more from a Team Florida that implies the best in the state.

I guess my expectations were too high.

PATIENT my friend, the team in Ft. Myers this past weekend was a very young, "developmental" team that will provide the foundation of GREAT things to come. Others will be recruited to supplement this base, but, in this past tournament, they played as expected. GREAT pitching, light on hitting and defense supberb at times.

If know of any elite players looking for a chance to improve their skills and develop themselves individually to be taught how to work hard on a day to day basis, train right and become prepared for college or professional baseball (that will surely come for most of these guys), I know NO other program that provides the total package as well as this one.

View this program closely, it's NEVER been only about W's and L's, but about player development and preparing them for the next levels.

If you need any other example than Andrew McCutchen from Ft. Meade, Fl., then you're looking at the wrong place. Feel free to contact their family and see how Andrew (and MANY others like him) has been prepared by our organization to succeed beyond the youth levels..............

Look at the BIG picture and then, cast stones.
As a parent of one of the players from this past weekend, I have to say, SOME of what you said is true. The pitching was exceptional, the hitting was weak, base running was not that good but the defense was very good. I agree, we made some errors in a few innings. I would say every team made some errors. TFUSA turned MANY double plays along with only allowing 13 runs in 5 games. That equals 2.6 runs allowed per game. If our hitting would have been better, we would have finished much higher than the round of 16. I have to say, I am very thankful TFUSA has agreed to allow my 09 grad son to participate in their program. I know my son will be a better player being associated with their program and that's the bottom line. It's great to win tournaments but I'm more concerned about my son's development than I am winning a tournament. We went into this tournament knowing it would be a challenge. There were not that many 09 grads participating in this tournament and TFUSA had about 6 or 7 on the team. I look at the other teams that had several 09 grads and most of them did not win a game. I guess when you look at it from that angle, TFUSA did not do too bad! One thing I would like to add, we committed to the TFUSA program for the future development, preparedness, exposure and competition value. I know for sure we will receive all that!
They did not do bad at all.

I was rooting for them since I knew a few kids from the Tampa area.

I would suggest though to follow the lead of the East Cobb Astros and have a team for each graduating class. If you noticed, their '08 team won the tournament while their '07 team lost in the round of eight.

With slightly better fundamentals, Team Florida could have won two or three more games instead of the two losses and a tie. The base running mistakes took you out of two games, while the poor run down execution cost one maybe two games. Remember to run the guy back where he came from.

With the pitching that I saw for you, you could have gone further.

The difference was merely better fundamentals and better execution. The pitching exhibition that you guys put on was superb.

I laughed often at that curve baller on Sunday against the Bandits. He was a joy to watch.

You owned the Chilidawgs and Bandits , but let them back in the game.

The Braves are a good team and organization, but I thought you could have handled them.

It was fun to watch and I hope you guys have success in the future.
