I am a catcher yet recently I have got injured and sprained my wrist along with bruised tail bone. Now that I am back from the injury perfectly fine now, yet my arms don't have that much "zip" and my throws are some times high. My arm slot might changed so what should my arm slot be now? Its probaly just a hair line change! Can anyone help me with this?

Glad to haer you've recovered from your injury.

Tough to really help with out seeing you throw but here arre a few things to check.

1. Biggest culprit making throws go high can be not striding far enough out front with your left leg. Be sure that you attack 2nd like you used to. You may find that since you weren't throwing for a bit that you are not driving to the bag, so your left foot is hitting the ground to close to your body. When that foot hits the brain thinks it's time to release, even if you haven't gotten to your release point. Main result??? High throw. This will also reduce your power and velocity and may be the reason for the loss of "zip".

2. The next itemn to check is how is your arm moving back to the throwing point. When your hand and ball leave the glove be sure that you are not dropping your hands down lower.If you take the ball back like a pitcher, your legs will get ahead of your hands again and an early release is caused..results??? High Throw
