I must say that the game that was televised was one of the most electrifying college games I have seen in many years. The baseball was good and the rivalry, the crowd, and the fact that it was on TV made it a memorable day. And those who saw it, now realize how it can be a game of inches, as cadKID2's hit in the 7th hit the outfield fence cap, and had it gone over would have been a lifetime memory of "a game winner over Army". Instead he got stranded on third, the game went to extra innings, and the Mids actually dropped from first to last in the Patriot League standings on the day.

I heard the broadcast looked really good considering it was a college game. Good stuff for both programs. Beautiful ballpark, isn't it?

CPLZ's kid threw very well in the make-up game on Monday. The cadKID from ILL has a future with the Black Knights.

Great venue, great crowd, great rivalry...it's the essence of college sports.

Thanks for the compliments on Kirk, he didn't have his A game stuff or control, but no pitcher does have it every time out. After being hurt for the first half of the season, he got his first college win and it's special because it's against their biggest rival, Navy.

That was some exciting baseball.

While the mids fell, the Black Knights vaulted from 5th to a tie for first.

Cadkid2 is certainly a player. Moving back and forth from third to short and hefting some good lumber at the plate.
