My wife and I had already had a talk with our sons about this very topic. I couldn't believe all the personal stuff, cursing and so on that many of their classmates put on their opening page that is accessible to anyone. Some of these athletes are showing they aren't the sharpest tools in the shed.
The smarter dumb ones curse and put the bad stuff on their 'secret' accounts. All their buddies know their fake names and have badboy accounts, as well. 
The facebook page with their real name has the pictures of teddy bears, cupcakes, them helping old ladies across the street etc.

Oops! I guess I should clarify that I meant my sons' high school classmates not my older son's college teammates.
They twitter too, and they don't realize how many people can follow you on twitter.
This is why I am pretty adament that it's important on how you present yourself to others that may have the power to give you a great opportunity, or wathing you just to see if you slip up, it should be the same on facebook, myspace, in emails, texting, twitter or even on just some internet message board.

The MySpace and Facebook is a big issue. I have heard of some players getting offers pulled from colleges due to what was on their MySpace or Facebook. I tell my players if thet have either to be careful what they put up and if they don't have to keep it that way.
