Artificial Turf question

I will be attending the PG Northeast showcase this June at Baseball Heaven. I'm pretty sure their fields are 100% artificial turf. Having never got the feel of playing ball on artificial turf I am not sure what the best type of shoes to wear. I think their is dirt around each base so I'm in a bit of a dilemma.

We played a number of events at BH last year and the only dirt was the pitchers mound

If you can get turf shoes do so---better yet, if possible, bring both turf Shoes and regular baseball cleats

The guys here at SEMO practice on the FieldTurf in the early season. Most of them wear their regular cleats. Also, many football people suggest wearing regular cleats as well.

Take everything you've got... there are many different types of turf ... and different guys have different preferences; even guys on the same team on the same turf.

faster 60 on turf or on grass? just wondering.

If I were to run a 6.8 on pavement what would you estimate id run on turf/grass?

You fly on turf. My son was a full tenth of a second faster on turf over grass. He was only a tenth of a second slower than grass when he had to run in the school hallway this year

. ****, err darn cold, rainy spring! Actually, there's nothing to compare this year against. They never did get timed outdoors.
