As most know, I had the opportunity to go to Farmington attending the Connie Mack World Series with the DBAT 17U bunch. What a great group of kids. Pat and Shad have done an outstanding job making these kids believe they could compete against anyone. From the Regionals on, I never saw any quit in these boys.
As far as for Farmington, it's like no other. By far, the best tournament or event I have ever attended for amatuer baseball. The town literally shuts down for this week. The fans are great. The tournament directors are first class and players and coaches are taken care of like big leaguers. Competition is second to none. Host families jump right in and become part of the team. All in all, I am so greatful to experience this.
Thanks to Pat, Shad, Cade, Kermit, and Kyle for asking me to go. I had the greatest time. The Connie Mack WS is as pure as it gets. Baseball, the way it was meant to be played.
Didn't come home without any evidence though..........Enjoy.................
