at this point in the year, a few teams have non scholarship roster spots left. In a few cases coaches are willing to drive a few hours watch me throw a bullpen to a friend. is it wrong to ask what theyre looking for in a pitcher before i make a multiple hour drive and so do they? I'm only concerned because im not 100% yet and I know i will be come fall season and ive expressed this to one coach and ask what they look for and the question was ignored.

1. If a college coach is willing to drive several hours to see you, be thankful!! If a coach asks you to drive a few hours so he can see you throw, by all means do it.

2. Do not ask what they are looking for. That puts them on the spot.

3. Communicate with any and all coaches that you talk with that you are not 100% yet, but are getting stronger and should be full throttle by the fall.

4. Hope everything turns out well for you. Keep us updated!
