These topics are on target for this board. But the book goes a little off the subject. It’s a football rivalry and everything behind it. If you want to read a great sports book read “A Civil War, Army Versus Navy: A year Inside College Football’s Purest Rivalry.” It’s written by one of the great sports books writers of all time, John Feinstein.
If you ever have the opportunity to attend an Army-Navy game you should go. Get there for the parade of cadets and midshipmen. The emotion is a unique experience.
I’ve been to rivalry games at the Rose Bowl, Coliseum, The Cocktail Party ** in Jacksonville and at Ben Hill (Florida). The Army-Navy game is just as big with a different feel. The players in this game will become some of America’s greatest leaders in the military and the corporate world.
