Was at the tryout/camp today and it was very well run. The intention of this was to evaluate current High School players to see what their skills are and see if they should be followed. There was also and handful of College scouts in attendance.

So if anyone is looking at this for the future it was well run and free.......

Reports form 2013 son and wife concur with Mack. They enjoyed the Corn Crib and even though son's velo was not as good as earlier in the summer (football, fatigue???) he enjoyed the experience. Heartland CC is very fortunate to have a facility like the Corn Crib! My wife was so impressed she even took photos of the ladies bathrooms...

The try out at Corn Crib is invite only. Each MLB team has several camps in each area and some are open and some are invite only. Next year when the camp list comes out I will post the open ones (if I remember).

The Normal Cornbelters promote the restroom your wife took pictures of as the nicest/best/fanciest women's restroom in the world. Not sure which one of those, but was built extra nice for promotional purposes. As well as to give the ladies an extra treat when they come to a game. The team is partly owned by Mike Veeck.

Also. as many posters know on this site, anything Coach Metzger is involved with is going to be organized and well worth attending. Full disclosure, Nate is a friend of mine and one of the finest human beings I have ever met. Thats all I have to say.
