I think it largely depends on where you are. I'm afraid I don't know that much about Minnesota Babe Ruth leagues. (I'm assuming that you are referring to the regular playing season, as opposed to playoff/tournament) The quality of individual Babe Ruth leagues, like American Legion, varies from state to state, and even areas within a state. I've known of some BR leagues that are very good, and others that are not good at all.
Then I guess I'm the pioneer! If I make the team, I'll post what it's like. I'm hoping that it's fun and competitive, because that's always the best brand of baseball. But, I guess it all depends on who's running it, who plays, etc. They have a nice field and I'll probably make the team, so there's 2 positive things already. I'll keep you posted.
