Wow! that was a record post to one of my dicussions. I am sorry for you parental problems, coaching failures and no one giving you the credit for the great teams you have been assciated with.

Back to the original questions, who is going to have a good team this year and who may surprise some folks in the DFW area? I think 6-5A has their predictions already, what about 4A?

I think 7-4A may have some teams in the state poll by the end of the year? Namely Denton Ryan (Scotty Young, A. Choplick), Denton Guyer (Gipson, Butler, ..?) and maybe WF Rider (names?)?

7-4A is pretty much owned by Arlington Heights which is always great (state semi's 2009). Southwest is very good and Fort Worth Western Hills should make it competetive. For the most part, this is a weak district overall, but each team has some really athletic ball players. In the upcoming weeks I will post some other great districts and great teams in the area for some opinions.
Ryan will have the 2 best starting pitchers for district, because they did last year, but a few balls in play here or there can win 2-1. See Ryan/Rider 2009.

Guyer has a heck of a coach and program on the upswing for their last year in 4A.

Also Little Elm has a few players returning that were key in 2009.

1st predict 2010:

1)Ryan
2)Guyer
3) Rider
4) Little ELm
5) Lake Dallas
6) The Colony
7) Denton
8) Wichita Falls

looks a lot like 2009...maybe Rider squeaks Guyer for #2 spot. They have 2 or 3 junior D1 candidates and a few more not far behind.
