Sorry to hear such bad news. Still hope he gets to enjoy the season rooting for the team. Hurting seniors still can be leaders and have a big influence on teammates.

Please don't rush the healing process. Someone once told me that a second break never heals as well. There is summer to think about and a lot here think there is more recruiting during summer ball than during HS.
Some pretty good news - ortho put hhim on an upper body regimine and told him he can start throwing and bunting as soon as it is comfortable to put weight on the leg. He will xray in two weeks and go to a removable boot as soon as possible. Says he should be in game shape by playoffs if he works hard with the pt and otherwise 'behaves'. The bad news is he would rather not see him catch for the remainder of the season. That is his primary position.

Doc is part of a very well respected sports medicine team and served as school's team physician when son attended private high school freshman year. He's very aggressive with rehab and can get guys back fast if they follow instructions. Did my knee surgery in October.

We appreciate all the encouraging thoughts and words. Son seems to have a pretty good attitude about things right now. He even went to school yesterday for a few minutes to pick up homework - without being asked to do so. There is a bright side to everything.
