when I was doing a game this summer, I had a situation where the batter on an inside pitch checked his swing. The ball I thought hit the nob of the bat (I heard a ping sound) I called a foul ball. The batter said it hit his hand. After examining his hand I could see where the ball hit his lower knuckle and broke it. I stayed with the foul call. Since I still believed the ball hit the bat handle and his hand at the same time. Was I correct with the foul ball call
