BSU is a blue collar program and imo one of the better northern basball programs. MAC baseball is good baseball and they usually play a good non-conference schedule.

Last year's team lost the MAC regular season championship on the final weekend and had wins over Arkansas and Louisville.
They had 2 players drafted in the first 2 rounds last year, 1 of just 4 schools, from what I heard, to achieve that.

The baseball field is ok, nothing special. They may be adding a turf infield in the next couple years, but they don't want the player that picks their school based on how pretty the ball diamond is. A hitter's park for sure, as the balls really carry to right.

The campus has many major projects in the works or finished, including a state of the art tele-comm building and new dorms. The workout facilites are excellent and are very close the the student housing.

Most of their recruiting is based in Indiana, but they have players from Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Kentucky. Lincoln Trail JC has had many players continue their careers at BSU also.

Former coaches Rick Mahoney, now at Michigan and Greg Beals, now at Ohio State, shows that someone is paying attention. Coach Marconi fits the mold to the previous hires pefectly.

They have a camp and a showcase Jan 8th and 9th. Check their web page for more info on times and prices. The Twins Kevin Slowey will be an instructor. It might be worth checking out.
