polls can be very funny

Ain't that the truth. This one seems just as funky as the college football polls. Bishop Gorman of Las Vegas,NV and Jordan of Sandy,UT are both 0-0. Bishop Gorman jumped from 13 to 9. Jordan stayed at 11. Don't think anybody saw either of them play. And to think some people want to rank them down to 10u and younger.

Marmonte league teams beat Chatsworth and Long Beach Wilson in winter ball. Then in the season opening tournament Calabasas beat Chatsworth. 3 of the 4 semifinalists are from the Marmonte league. The winner of the tournament will probably end up ranked (could still be Valencia from the Foothill league, they are pretty solid) but then will drop out of the polls because nobody goes undefeated in the Marmonte league. Then one of the Marmonte league teams will make the finals of the CIF SS and end up ranked. Happens every year. Not always the best team in the country but year in and year out the best league.
